Remington hasn't had much luck against Sedgwick recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Broncos will be playing at home against the Cardinals. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Last Friday, Remington made easy work of Bennington and carried off a 16-10 win. The victory continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won seven in a row.
Remington got a massive performance out of Pius Graf, who scored four runs and stole four bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Claassen, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5.
Remington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bennington only posted an OBP of .405.
Meanwhile, Sedgwick strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past Moundridge 12-4. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by six runs or more this season.
Corey Crumrine was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Sedgwick let Karston Wall and Spencer Crumrine run wild. Wall scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3, while Crumrine scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Wall has been hot recently, having also posted three or more RBI the last three times he's played. Preston Agee was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Sedgwick's win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Remington, their win bumped their record up to 2-0-1.
Remington might still be hurting after the 15-1 loss they got from Sedgwick in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Broncos have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
