Basketball Game Preview: Quartz Hill Royals vs. Littlerock Lobos

Quartz Hill is 9-1 against Littlerock since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Quartz Hill Royals will face off against the Littlerock Lobos at 6:30 p.m. Quartz Hill is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Quartz Hill is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Antelope Valley: they outscored them in every quarter. Quartz Hill was the clear victor by a 60-39 margin over Antelope Valley back in December of 2024. Given the Royals' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while the Antelopes are ranked 1079th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Jeremiah Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 14 times he's played. Ty?Jahwuan Jackson was another key player, putting up eight points along with 12 rebounds and five assists.

Quartz Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 28 offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Meanwhile, Littlerock ended up a good deal behind Knight on Monday and lost 68-49.

Littlerock's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 14-6. As for Quartz Hill, their record now sits at 13-6.

Quartz Hill strolled past Littlerock in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 52-37. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Littlerock's William Young Jr., who went 7 of 10 on his way to 21 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Now that he won't be playing on Wednesday, will it be easier for Quartz Hill to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
