Malden won the last time they faced East Prairie and things went their way on Saturday too. The Green Wave put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 16-2 victory. The Green Wave might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by eight runs or more this season.

Malden is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for East Prairie, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-3.

Malden has already played their next game, an 18-10 loss against Risco on the 12th. As for East Prairie, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-3 victory against Portageville on the 12th.
