York County Tech has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against The Bermudian Springs Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, it was close, but York County Tech sidestepped Fairfield for a 8-6 win.
Meanwhile, Bermudian Springs had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 28-20 victory over Delone Catholic.
Eddie Sebright was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 133 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. Sebright was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 58 yards. Tyler Staub was another key contributor, gaining 74 total yards and a touchdown.
York County Tech's win on Friday bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Bermudian Springs, their win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 5-3.
York County Tech was dealt a bruising 53-20 defeat at the hands of Bermudian Springs when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Can York County Tech avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
