Baseball Recap: Forrest County Agricultural Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Forrest County Agricultural entered their tilt with Greene County on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Greene County Wildcats by a score of 9-5. While the Aggies didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Ethan Norman made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed 4.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. He also put up two doubles, which were his first of the season.

In other batting news, Lee Roberts III was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Preston Anderson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Forrest County Agricultural always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greene County only posted an OBP of .378.

Forrest County Agricultural's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Greene County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
