Ford Smith Turns in Season-Best Performance
Ford Smith produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Covington-Douglas to the win on Thursday. Smith rushed for 129 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 315 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 74 yards.
The win for Covington-Douglas keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Smith and Covington-Douglas will host Coyle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
