The win was a breath of fresh air for Sarasota Christian as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Sarasota Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alivia Fullerton out in front who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fullerton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brenda Bresciani, who scored 13 points.
Families Instructing Students HomeSchool's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-11. As for Sarasota Christian, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-10.
Families Instructing Students HomeSchool beat the Blazers 47-36 in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Bresciani, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 16 rebounds. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Families Instructing Students HomeSchool still be able to contain Bresciani? There's only one way to find out.
