The Aliceville Yellowjackets posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They blew past Greene County 66-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Aliceville.
Despite the loss, Greene County still got an impressive performance from Lester Scott, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Michael Gibson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Greene County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Aliceville now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Greene County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.
Aliceville will take on Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Marion has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Greene County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tuscaloosa Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
