Brody Wilson and South McCoy made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Wilson struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Meanwhile, McCoy pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the most strikeouts Wilson has posted since back in March. At bat, Wilson scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while McCoy went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Landon Swinney was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two).
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mooreville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over East Webster on Friday.
Tupelo now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Mooreville, their win bumped their record up to 17-7.
