The biggest upset of the week belonged to Washington & Lee, who took down 204th ranked Washington & Lee, 14-13.
Montel Allen of West Point ran for the longest rushing play in A Eastern this season against Mathews last week. Allen's team topped the Blue Devils as he sprinted for 82 yards on the play and finished with 239 in all.
West Point's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Robert "Mikey" Anerton threw for 331 and four touchdowns and Seth Hatcher had 175 yards receiving. Edgar "L.A." Allen helped West Point's passing attack out by catching three balls for 83 yards.
Avery Jones made the biggest impact on defense this week as Charles City fell to Sussex Central. The 5-foot-8 senior recorded two fumbles.
LC Briggs' team's Anerton and Hatcher have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Anerton has thrown for 2059 yards this season, while Hatcher, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 40 catches for 952 yards. Tre Burtt from Nottoway leads the league in rushing with 1376 yards.
Hatcher of the the Pointers' is a few catches away from breaking 1,000 yards for the season. He needs only 48 receiving yards in this week's game against King William to get there.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Franklin takes on the Tigers. The Broncos are in third place, while Sussex Central is in first place.
Monroe was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 44th to 36th in A Eastern. The Dragons defeated Mason 48-35 earlier in the week.
