It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Booker Tornadoes can now relate to. They were dealt a 41-3 defeat at the hands of the Tigers on Friday. Booker's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Even if they lost, Booker's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Cocoa's QB won't forget Rah'shad Hill anytime soon given Hill sacked him twice.
Cocoa's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayvan Boggs led the charge by picking up 141 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Boggs has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more receiving yards the last three times he's played. Malachi Coney and his 105 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Cocoa's victory.
Booker's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Cocoa, their win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-1.
Booker does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cocoa will take on Bradford at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Bradford: 5, Cocoa: 9.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
