 In other batting news, Wheeler got a  massive  performance out of  Abby Allen, who  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 1-for-1.  Isabela Lira was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Wheeler's victory was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 12-7. As for Lake Station Edison, they are  on  a  nine-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-17.
 Wheeler will be playing at home against Washington Township at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Wheeler is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5  runs per game  this season. As for Lake Station Edison, they will be staying on the road  on Tuesday to face off against Hammond Central at 5:00  p.m.
