Basketball Recap: Crenshaw Sets Scoring Season-High Against Manual Arts

Crenshaw was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell to the Manual Arts Toilers 69-63. One positive for the Cougars, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Devin Moody, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 17 rebounds for Manual Arts. Moody's afternoon made it 30 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Santiago Osorito, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Crenshaw's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Manual Arts, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5.

Crenshaw will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Buena Park at 6:00 p.m. on December 21st. Manual Arts also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Dr. Maya Angelou Community at 4:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
