Genesee pushed their score all the way to 69 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Clearwater Valley by a score of 72-69. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Genesee in their matchups with Clearwater Valley: they've now lost six in a row.
The losing side was boosted by Seth Vestal, who went 6 for 14 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points and 0 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Bollman, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Timberline had to settle for a 47-44 loss against Highland on Tuesday.
Genesee dropped their record down to 1-19 with that loss, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Timberline, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
Genesee was dealt a bruising 56-29 loss at the hands of Timberline in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Genesee avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
