The Clay Eagles will venture away from home to  take on the Northview Wildcats  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Clay will be strutting in after a  victory while Northview will be coming in after a  loss.

The Eagles slipped by the Panthers  29-28 on Friday. The score was all tied up  14-14 at the break, but the Eagles were the  better team in the second half.
  Landon Echelberry had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 85 yards and one  TD, and also threw for 200 yards and a pair of  touchdowns.  Brodi Ostrander was in the mix  too, providing Clay with two scores.
 Meanwhile, Northview was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss. They were beaten by Findlay 42-7. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 478th, while the Trojans are ranked 82nd).
 Clay now  has a winning record of 5-4. As for Northview, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
 Everything came up roses for Clay against Northview in their previous meeting  back in August of 2024, as the  squad secured  a  49-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
