While Champion has struggled on the road with six straight losses dating back to last season, that wasn't the case on Friday thanks to Mackenzie Braham. The Golden Flashes came out on top against the Bristol Panthers by a score of 52-42 with plenty of help from Braham, who shot 57% from the field on her way to 23 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Despite the loss, Bristol still got an impressive performance from Lauren Church, who posted 16 points and four steals. That was a full 38.1% of the Panthers' points, marking the third time in a row Church has had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Korie Kennedy, who put up six points and eight boards.

Champion's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Bristol, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Champion didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-41 loss against Brookfield on the 5th. As for Bristol, they have also already played their next contest, a 52-30 victory against Mathews on the 5th.
