Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Mount Dora Christian Academy

Mount Dora Christian Academy hadn't done well against Master's Academy recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Mount Dora Christian Academy Bulldogs enjoyed a cozy 56-40 win over the Master's Academy Eagles. The victory was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on four straight.

Mount Dora Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aranya Alexander, who went 7 of 13 en route to 21 points and three steals. That's the most points Alexander has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Doan, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine assists.

Master's Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jasie Vellon, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Fennell, who put up nine points.

Mount Dora Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Master's Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 14-8.

Mount Dora Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 52-33 loss against Wildwood on the 31st. Master's Academy has also already played their next game, a 54-34 defeat against Oviedo on the 30th.
