Proctor Academy barely beat Kents Hill School the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hornets put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 12-2 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Abbie Vlacich was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
