Elgin/Pope John needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight matches and they got it from  Gentry Zwingman. The Wolfpack put the hurt on Niobrara/Verdigre with a sharp  3-0 victory on Monday for which the team can thank  Zwingman, who  had 16  digs. With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 10.2  digs per game.
 Elgin/Pope John was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-11,  25-19.
Meanwhile, North Central posted their closest  win since September 13th on Monday. They skirted past Boyd County  3-2. The game was the first time the Knights have beaten the Spartans on their court since October 10, 2023.
 North Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 23-25, 25-17, 25-21,  15-12.
 North Central now  has a winning record of 14-13. As for Elgin/Pope John, their victory bumped their record up to 17-10.
