West Logan Christian Academy received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 86-72 to Teays Valley Christian. West Logan Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Teays Valley Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Walls, who scored 22 points. Jordan Adams was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Teays Valley Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maki Cary, who scored 32 points along with six assists. The match was Cary's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wade Browder, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds.
West Logan Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Teays Valley Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
West Logan Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Bloomingdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Bloomingdale focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. Teays Valley Christian will take on Nitro in a holiday battle at 9:30 p.m. on Friday at. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in West Virginia (Nitro is ranked fourth, while Teays Valley Christian is ranked seventh).
