After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Nixa, the Carl Junction Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Friday. They put the hurt on Monett with a sharp 81-57 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 50-27.
Brody Pant was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Deacon Endicott, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists.
Carl Junction is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Monett, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carl Junction on the road again on Tuesday and play against Nevada at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Monett, they will challenge East Newton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Newton is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
