Baseball Recap: Kamiak Has No Trouble Against Lynnwood

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kamiak). They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Lynnwood Royals on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Joe Estes looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk).

On the hitting side, Andrew Fetty was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Colby Koga was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Kamiak was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Kamiak and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Lynnwood, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Kamiak has already played their next matchup, an 18-0 victory against Cascade on the 24th. As for Lynnwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-2 defeat against Mountlake Terrace on the 21st.
