The Jefferson Davis County Jaguars lost against the Collins Tigers back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Jefferson Davis County fell to Collins 49-45.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Collins to victory, but perhaps none more so than Latreyveon Lowe, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Willingham, who scored seven points along with eight steals and five assists.
Jefferson Davis County's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-8. As for Collins, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.
Jefferson Davis County will head out on the road to face off against Seminary at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Seminary is out to stop a seven-game streak of losses at home. Collins will take on Mize at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
