Make it 14 blowout wins for the West Rowan Falcons this season. They blew past South Rowan 81-21 on the road. The win was familiar territory for West Rowan who now have 12 in a row.
South Rowan's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kynlee Dextraze, who scored six points.
West Rowan pushed their record up to 14-1 with that victory, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 47 points. As for South Rowan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.
West Rowan on the road again on Wednesday and play against A.L. Brown at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. A.L. Brown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 245th, while West Rowan is ranked 24th). South Rowan won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Central Cabarrus at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully Central Cabarrus focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Friday.
