The Letchworth Indians just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Warsaw Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Monday, it was a hard-fought match, but Letchworth had to settle for a 47-45 loss against Pembroke. That's two games in a row now that Letchworth has lost by exactly two points.
Meanwhile, Warsaw's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 54-11 loss at the hands of Caledonia-Mumford. While losing is never fun, Warsaw can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while Caledonia-Mumford is ranked 121st).
Letchworth's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Warsaw, they bumped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Letchworth was able to grind out a solid victory over Warsaw in their previous meeting back in February, winning 40-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for Letchworth since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
