It was fun while it lasted, but Battle's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Friday. They took a 62-44 bruising from the Nixa Eagles. The loss was the Spartans' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Battle fell to 3-1.

Battle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 83-82 victory against Miller Career Academy on the 13th. As for Nixa, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Webb City at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
