After each having a week off, The Chaffee Red Devils and the Van-Far Indians will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
After only two points in their last game, Chaffee made sure to put some points up on the board against Grandview on Friday. Chaffee took their match at home with ease, bagging a 41-6 win over Grandview. Chaffee didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.
Carson Spies was on fire: he rushed for 245 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.6 yards per carry. Spies was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 54 yards. Shelton Simmons and his 109 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Chaffee's win.
Meanwhile, Van-Far entered their tilt with Mark Twain with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Van-Far enjoyed a cozy 20-6 victory over Mark Twain on Friday. That's two games straight that Van-Far has won by exactly 14 points.
Chaffee now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Van-Far, their win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-4.
