4A-2 Region II District 7 Top Player Performances of the Week
Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!
Brendan Webb Tops All Others This Week
Starting off the list is Gilmer's Brendan Webb, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Webb picked up 109 receiving yards and a touchdown. He is becoming a predictor of Gilmer's success: when he posts at least 80 receiving yards the team is 4-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
Webb and Gilmer will challenge Spring Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Buckeyes got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Panthers, probably because Webb had a solid game then too: he picked up 75 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
