The Windsor Academy Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight defeat. They fell to Covenant Academy 39-33. Windsor Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Covenant Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Windsor Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kyndall Bowen, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Bowen has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Roberts, who scored six points along with four steals and two blocks.
Windsor Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-21 record this season. As for Covenant Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windsor Academy will take on Flint River Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Covenant Academy, they will be playing at home against Central Fellowship Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Fellowship Christian Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Covenant Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
