The Fredericksburg V Victory were the 44-13 winner over the St. Michael the Archangel Warriors when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Fredericksburg V was outmatched by St. Michael the Archangel on the road and fell 57-16. Fredericksburg V has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Michael the Archangel to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anjalia Bryant , who scored 25 points along with eight steals. The game was Bryant 's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Janaye Martinez was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 24 rebounds.
Fredericksburg V's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-2. As for St. Michael the Archangel, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fredericksburg V will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fairfax HomeSchool on January 20th. As for St. Michael the Archangel, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Christ Chapel Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 9th. Christ Chapel Academy is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
