Hayward has gone a perfect 4-0 against Irvington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Farmers will challenge the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Irvington will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Hayward extended their winning streak to five on Friday. The Farmers blew past Washington 67-22. Given the Farmers' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 277th, while the Huskies are ranked 703rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hayward's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maurice Hall led the charge by rushing for 140 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten carries. That's the most rushing yards Hall has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaydyn Irving, who threw for 192 yards and four touchdowns on only seven passes.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hayward was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 291 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Washington only rushed for 130.
Meanwhile, Irvington hadn't done well against Kennedy recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Vikings never let the Titans get on the board and left with a 33-0 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Vikings considering their eight-point performance the matchup before.
Irvington's win came from a few key players Hayward will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Gabrial Aruwah, who picked up 97 receiving yards and a pair of scores. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making two total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging two interceptions. Ethan Insixiengmay made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Irvington didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Aruwah and Insixiengmay. Insixiengmay got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Hayward's record now sits at 7-3. As for Irvington, their record is now an identical 7-3.
Everything came up roses for Hayward against Irvington when the teams last played two weeks ago, as the team secured a 53-8 win. In that contest, the Farmers amassed a halftime lead of 28-8, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
