Two dominant guards in Soukare Fane and A Jeune are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Benjamin Franklin Electrons will head out on the road to take on High School of the Future at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Benjamin Franklin knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully High School of the Future likes a good challenge.
Benjamin Franklin posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They blew past Tacony Academy Charter 77-47 on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-20.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Benjamin Franklin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Fane, who scored 22 points along with five steals. Fane hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. David Winchester was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, High School of the Future scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 76-47 win over TECH Freire Charter. High School of the Future has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 24 points or more this season.
High School of the Future's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeune, who scored 22 points along with six assists and five steals. Jeune has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of D Lubin, who scored 21 points.
Benjamin Franklin's record is now 8-2. High School of the Future's record now sits at 7-4.
Benjamin Franklin ended up a good deal behind High School of the Future in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, losing 68-53. Can Benjamin Franklin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
