West Scranton has won three straight games at home, while Abington Heights has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Invaders will host the Comets at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
West Scranton's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Riverside as they made off with a 10-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Invaders considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Laney Mackie was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Mia Tallo was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: West Scranton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Abington Heights put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. They put the hurt on Elmira with a sharp 13-0 victory.
Brianna Bustos was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Evelyn Henkels, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Riley McColligan, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs.
West Scranton's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Abington Heights, their victory bumped their record up to 14-1-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. West Scranton has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.3 hits per game. However, it's not like Abington Heights struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
West Scranton might still be hurting after the 8-1 defeat they got from Abington Heights when the teams last played back in April. Will the Invaders have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
