The St. Mary's Academy Wildcats's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 50-33 win over The Academy. That's another feather in the cap for St. Mary's Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
St. Mary's Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emily Rodriguez, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 22 rebounds. Rodriguez has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Isabel Hernandez, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Mallory Beagle and Rylyn Romero certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Beagle scored 11 points along with three steals, while Romero scored 11 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Beagle has scored all season.

St. Mary's Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Jefferson Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Saturday. As for The Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Prospect Ridge Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
