After flying high against Delavan-Darien last Friday, the Union Grove Broncos came back down to earth. The game between Union Grove and the Burlington Demons on Tuesday was not particularly close, with Union Grove falling 65-47. The Broncos might have entered gameday a little too confident, resting on the laurels of their 48-46 victory against Burlington when they previously met in January.
Union Grove's loss pushed them down to 9-10. The win was the eighth in a row for Burlington and raised their record to 12-8.
Union Grove will take on Westosha Central Friday. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Union Grove, but that can only make success all the sweeter. The Demons are staying on the road Friday to face off against Waterford. Waterford is also hoping to continue their momentum after a 78-65 victory over Badger on Tuesday.
