The Flatirons Academy Bison will take on the Dawson School Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Flatirons Academy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Flatirons Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 20-3 margin over Wiley on Saturday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Bison with their most commanding win of the season.
Conner Odell made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Odell was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Parker Wilson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Braxton Kelley also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Flatirons Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in 13 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Dawson School, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against Platte Canyon on Friday as they made off with a 22-2 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Mustangs' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Like Flatirons Academy, Dawson School also got a great game from a two-way player: Declan Noonan. He pitched 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits. Noonan was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs.
In other batting news, Dawson School got a massive performance out of Shelton Johnson, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Milo Richtel was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
Flatirons Academy pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Dawson School, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.
Dawson School's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Flatirons Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .480.
