The Starr's Mill Panthers and the Perry Panthers squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Starr's Mill Panthers had to settle for second. They took a 28-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. Starr's Mill's defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Perry's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colter Ginn, who threw for 382 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.3 yards per attempt. Another player making a difference was Dakarai Anderson, who picked up 166 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Starr's Mill's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Perry, the last time they lost on the road was back back in October. Having now won three straight away contests, they've pushed their record up to 12-2.
Starr's Mill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Perry will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Stockbridge at 4:00 p.m. on December 12th. Stockbridge is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 12 games.
