Vincennes Lincoln has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Castle Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Vincennes Lincoln won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 75-37 loss at the hands of South Knox. While losing is never fun, Vincennes Lincoln can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 198th, while South Knox is ranked 16th).
Meanwhile, Castle pushed their score all the way to 58 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Evansville Memorial. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Saturday (57), Castle still had to take the loss.
Vincennes Lincoln has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Castle, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
Vincennes Lincoln didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Castle when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 69-65 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Vincennes Lincoln since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
