After both having extra time off, the All Saints' Academy Saints and the City of Life Christian Academy Warriors will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. All Saints' Academy will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
All Saints' Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Discovery last Thursday as All Saints' Academy made off with a 22-8 victory. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Olivia Chadwick was a standout: she scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cira Whitchard, who scored four runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-3.
All Saints' Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .722. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, City of Life Christian Academy won against All Saints' Academy on March 6th with 17 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again last Tuesday. City of Life Christian Academy was the clear victor by a 17-2 margin over Calvary Chapel Academy. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won three contests by 12 runs or more so far this season.
Adelaide Rodriguez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Natalia Duran was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
The victory made it two in a row for City of Life Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for All Saints' Academy, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-4.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. All Saints' Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .515. However, it's not like City of Life Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .596. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
