David City is 1-8 against the Cougars since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The David City Scouts will be playing at home against the Cross County Cougars at 7:30 p.m. The timing isn't great for David City: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Cougars have snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
Last Tuesday, David City was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-51 to the Mustangs.
The losing side was boosted by Clayton Zavodny, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Cohen Denker, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Cross County can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They blew past High Plains 68-42. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Cross County had established a 20 point advantage.
David City has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season. As for Cross County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
