On Friday, The Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks got themselves on the board against the Franklin County Seahawks, but the Franklin County Seahawks never followed suit. They breezed by the Seahawks on the road to the tune of 40-0. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Port St. Joe had established a 34 point advantage.
Port St. Joe found their leader in underclassman Corban Butts, who rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown. Eli Harris also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Port St. Joe's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Franklin County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Port St. Joe will square off against Sneads at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sneads is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Franklin County will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Wewahitchka at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
