Even though the Ponca City Wildcats scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, the Bixby Spartans still came out on top. Everything went Bixby's way against Ponca City as Bixby made off with a 81-55 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bixby.
Despite the loss, Ponca City still got an impressive performance from Tay Moore, who scored 22 points along with 5 rebounds. Moore scored a full 40% of Ponca City's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Raecyn Fisher was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Bixby's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Ponca City, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Bixby will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Will Rogers College at 1:00 p.m. Hopefully Will Rogers College focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday. As for Ponca City, they will head out on the road to face off against Stillwater at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
