In what's become a running theme this season, the El Paso HomeSchool Panthers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They really took it to Varsity Opponent for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-13 win on the road. The win was nothing new for El Paso HomeSchool as they're now sitting on six straight.
El Paso HomeSchool got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brandon Walls out in front who scored eight points along with seven assists and six steals. Walls has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Ethan Gonzalez was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds.
El Paso HomeSchool pushed their record up to 8-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Varsity Opponent, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 30 of their last 34 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 275-1041-2 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Paso HomeSchool won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Father Yermo at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. As for Varsity Opponent, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Immaculate Conception Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Immaculate Conception Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Tuesday.
