After a string of eight wins, the La Salette Academy Lions's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a hard 56-39 fall against Danville. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points La Salette Academy has scored all season.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Charles Prather, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Eamon Martin was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
La Salette Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5. As for Danville, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13.
La Salette Academy will head out on the road to square off against Westville at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Danville, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Normal West at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Normal West is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.4 points per game.
