Providence Prep's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Sarah Vernon, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, and Lainie Illian who scored a point along with five rebounds. Vernon hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games.
Valor Preparatory Academy found their leader in underclassman Elyse Mason, who scored 22 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Mason has scored at least a third of Valor Preparatory Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Buck, who scored ten points.
Providence Prep has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Valor Preparatory Academy, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
