Meanwhile,  it was close, but  on Wednesday Mt. St. Joseph Academy sidestepped Gwynedd Mercy Academy for  a  3-2 victory. The Magic haven't had any issues with the Monarchs recently, as the game was their third consecutive  win against them.
 Mt. St. Joseph Academy took Gwynedd Mercy Academy into a fifth set  where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-10, 22-25, 25-27,  16-14.
 Villa Joseph Marie's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Mt. St. Joseph Academy, they now  have a winning record of 3-2.
 Villa Joseph Marie beat Mt. St. Joseph Academy 3-1  when the teams last played  on September 9th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jems since the  team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
