The Christian Liberty Academy Canefire will stay at home for another game and welcome the Pahoa Daggers at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around on Saturday.
Last Tuesday, Christian Liberty Academy had to suffer through a rough 61-26 loss at the hands of Kea'au.
Pahoa suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 68-45 walloping at the hands of Kamehameha Hawai'i. Pahoa has not had much luck with Kamehameha Hawai'i recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the loss, Pahoa saw an underclassman step up: Kyran Canete scored 17 points along with five rebounds. Kaumuali'i Gancinia was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Christian Liberty Academy dropped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.2 points per game. As for Pahoa, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
