On Friday Roosevelt take on Centennial at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Roosevelt, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Roosevelt took care of business in their home opener. They were fully in charge last week, breezing past Benson Tech 62-0. Roosevelt was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, Centennial had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They suffered a grim 7-28 defeat to South Medford.
Roosevelt's win lifted them to 1-0 while Centennial's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Roosevelt can add another positive mark to their record or if Centennial can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Roosevelt's step.
