Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Rabun County's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Rabun County extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Huey Blalock. The Rabun County Wildcats claimed a resounding 96-61 win over the Elbert County Blue Devils thanks in part to Blalock, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in December of 2023.

Aj Brown and Jordan Morrison certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Brown went 11 for 16 on his way to 23 points, while Morrison went 6 of 12 on his way to 14 points. With that strong performance, Brown is now averaging an impressive 15.7 points per game.

Rabun County is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Elbert County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rabun County will welcome West-Oak at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Elbert County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Athens Academy at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Elbert County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 70.2 points per game this season.
