The George Washington Eagles won the last time they faced the Roxborough Indians, and things went their way on Friday too. George Washington claimed a resounding 44-12 win over Roxborough at home. The result was nothing new for George Washington, who have now won five matches by 32 points or more so far this season.
George Washington's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Darelle Nutridge, who rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown. Nutridge's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.
George Washington's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Cesar Patterson and his two sacks.
The win makes it two in a row for George Washington and bumps their season record up to 7-1. As for Roxborough, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-5.
George Washington will face off against Central at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Roxborough does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
